Meet the New FRSTeam Franchisees!

Summer Is Heating Up—And So Is the Momentum at FRSTeam

This season brings fresh energy across the FRSTeam network. We’re excited to welcome new franchisees Andy So and Nation Son, who are bringing local leadership and long-term vision to our operations in the Pacific Northwest. As we all navigate a busy summer, we’re also sharing a few grilling safety reminders to help keep things safe at home—and a quick look at how Continuing Education can help you keep your team sharp, certified, and ready for what’s next.

Local Roots, Lasting Impact: Andy So & Nation Son Step Up in the Pacific Northwest

FRSTeam Franchisees – Puyallup & Portland

From Opportunity to Ownership
On June 1, 2025, Andy So and Nation Son took over the FRSTeam franchises serving Seattle and Portland—locations formerly corporate-run. For Andy and Nation, both longtime residents of the Pacific Northwest, this was more than a business acquisition. “We saw an opportunity to take an established operation and elevate it with local leadership,” says Andy. “We wanted to bring that owner-operator presence back to the front lines.” With a strong infrastructure already in place, they hit the ground running—ready to lead with purpose, experience, and a sharp focus on community impact.

Building on the Brand, Strengthening the Culture
Andy and Nation were drawn to FRSTeam not only for its operational potential, but for its alignment with their personal values: compassion, service, and trust. “We knew how much was being lost—items with deep personal meaning—and we wanted to be part of changing that narrative,” says Nation. Their goals now include optimizing team performance, deepening client relationships, and leading with empathy. “The work we do has meaning,” Andy adds. “And as franchisees, we have the chance to make that meaning felt in every interaction.”

In It for the Long Haul
Looking ahead, Andy and Nation are focused on continuity, consistency, and growth. They want their fellow franchisees to know they’re committed to contributing to the strength of the network as a whole. “We believe in the brand, and we believe in doing it right,” says Andy. “If you want to go fast, go alone. But if you want to go far, go together.” That mindset is shaping not just their local operations—but how they show up for the FRSTeam family.

Summer Grilling Safety Tips

Grilling is a summer staple, but it’s important to stay safe while you enjoy those backyard burgers. Here are five essential tips to keep your cookouts accident-free:

  • Grill Away from Structures
Set up your grill at least 10 feet from your home, garage, or overhangs to reduce the risk of fire.
  • Clean Before You Cook
Remove grease and food buildup from grates and trays before each use to prevent flare-ups.
  • Check for Leaks
Inspect gas grill hoses for cracks and test connections with soapy water—bubbles signal a leak.
  • Stay Attentive
Never leave the grill unattended. Keep kids and pets at a safe distance.
  • Cool Down Properly
Let coals and surfaces cool completely before covering or storing the grill.

A few precautions can make all the difference. Grill smart, stay safe, and enjoy the season.
