Job Description:

The Business Development Manager will leverage excellent phone sales, presentation skills and the ability to spin sell like a champion in medium sized groups and in one-on-one arenas.   You will contribute strong B2B sales experience to help expand new markets and grow our organization by 10% annually.  Must have an “all- hands-on-deck attitude”, a willingness to pitch in and get things done. This position reports to the General Manager.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
  • Collaborate with sales leadership to create and train prospecting process
  • Collaborate with sales leadership to create and train lead qualification process
  • Call on and present to medium sized groups and one-on-one, providing technical and administrative product information and/or demonstrations, and quoting appropriate customer prices
  • Generating and developing new distribution partners in order to sell services
  • Expanding existing customers and building customer loyalty
  • Work with Marketing to ensure consistent lead generation
  • Lead, coach and develop (2) sales representatives
  • Train new salespeople to ensure success
  • Manage day-to-day performance of all sales team members and deliver reviews
  • Hire high-performing salespeople according to HR staffing guidelines
  • Work with sales leadership to generate ideas for sales contests and employment engagement initiatives
  • Lead and schedule weekly and/or monthly team meetings with sales team and leadership
  • Track sales team metrics and report data to leadership on a regular basis
  • Implement performance plans according to company procedure
  • Collaborate with IT on sales technology initiatives
  • Meet pre-determined revenue goals through individual activities and activities of direct reports
  • Ensure correct usage of CRM and other sales applications

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills and Abilities)

  • High School graduation or equivalent
  • Three to five years in a sales representative role
  • One year of prior management experience or demonstrated willingness and ability to learn management basics
  • Positive and Enthusiastic
  • Strong intrapersonal skills
  • Exceptional written, verbal communication, presentation and social media skills
  • Excellent customer relationship skills
  • Familiarity with data analysis and reporting
  • Hardworking, persistent, and dependable
  • Flexible, creative, and able to work in a non-structured developing work environment
  • Demonstrated capacity to think “outside the box”, communicate and sell new ideas
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel, Word and PowerPoint


  • Salary (DOE) + Commission
  • Auto or Auto Allowance
  • Health benefits provided in accordance with the employer’s benefit plan. Medical, dental & vision coverage after 30 days of full time, continuous employment. Coverage begins the 1st day of the month following the 30 days. (Employee is eligible to select from four Blue Anthem PPO Plans. Additional benefits available.)
  • Paid Sick Leave, 48 hours eligible after 1st month of continuance employment.
  • PTO accrual in accordance with the Employer’s plan (accrual begins after 1 month of continuance employment).
  • Paid holidays, 9 observed days per year.
  • Birthday Bonus $20 year one (after 3 months of employment and an additional $10 for every year worked after).
  • Participation in the company sponsored 401k retirement safe harbor plan begins first of the month after 90 days of continuous employment for employees over the age of 18. Company matches Dollar-for-dollar up to 3%, 50% for the next 2% following, not to exceed 4%.
